You CAN Store Rechargeable AA's in the AA Side of this Case
After a lot of debate, I reluctantly bought this battery case. I had read so many negative reviews about the AA storage side of this case, I was reluctant to try it. The problem is, I couldn't find a case that looked better! Almost all the other battery cases that I could find had a flimsy handle, and batteries are HEAVY, so having a strong handle was a requirement for me. There just aren't a whole lot of cases with a strong handle on the market, so despite the conflicting/mostly negative reviews about the AA side of this case, I took a chance.I'm happy to say, that you can actually put AA batteries in the AA side of this case, and close it. In fact, you can even fill it with rechargeable AA's, which are slightly bigger than regular AA's, in the AA side of the case and close it. However, the lid won't close flush with the case. But, it seems to work.I don't know how long the lid will last like this, as it's probably not good for the plastic. I don't really plan on being rough with the case, so we shall see. If it breaks, then I will try to update this review. But as of now, I'm not really having any problems with this.It doesn't fit my button battery collection, but I keep enough of those on hand that I keep them in their own, separate organizer.But it does hold ALL the other batteries that our household needs to keep on hand, which is a LOT.Overall, I'm fairly happy with this. If the lid on the AA side would close flush, then I'd give 5 stars.
